Mediation

Mediation is a conventional, flexible and confidential dispute resolution procedure in which an independent and impartial third party, the mediator, facilitates the resolution of a dispute between two or more parties.

Mediation is not a decision-making process but rather a conciliation of divergent views, and therefore does not generally result in a binding decision. At the end of the procedure, the mediator is responsible for formulating and submitting to the parties a settlement proposal or for establishing and certifying a settlement agreement negotiated and accepted by the parties.

Mizan aims to introduce Mediation to Morocco by providing an institutional framework that will allow a quick settlement of commercial, industrial, financial, intellectual property, corporate, employment or other disputes of a civil nature, while preserving the commercial interests and relationships between the parties.
